It was called something like Perfect Smile and went on till after midnight so it is possible none of you were up that late.
I am interested to hear what you thought of the end results of the treatment for the three people featured.

No Jasper, didn't see it, but I dare say I'll get the rundown when I go into work tomorrow.
Was it really bad ? It never fails to amaze me what lengths,"normal" people will go to, to improve what are usually quite minor defects.
I work in the orthodontic department of a University Hosp.so, tend to see quite gross mal occlusions, that really do need treatment, but even then people seem to think, you can wave a majic wand, and don't realise the length of treatment and pain involved.

I was just disappointed they did not give good close up pictures of the end results.
And yes, I thought the defects were pretty minor.

I saw it and was left undecided about the outcomes. The three people featured all seemed to have self- image problems about their smiles that were not at all commensurate with the so called defects in their teeth. It did seem wrong to file down the healthy teeth so much for no dental health or hygiene reasons and also to end up with a set of gnashers that will need to be replaced in a few years anyway! I wondered whether the same thing could have been achieved by some orthodontic work although that would have taken so much longer. And what a cost! One of the blokes coughed up £18k for a Tom Cruise smile but I thought it looked a bit like he had got false teeth by the end .........so white, so even , so unnatural! Anyway, interested in others views.

I will step off the fence and admit that I did not like the end results from what I could see.
The would be actress' "problem" (not much of a problem, she was very attractive) was to do with her jaws not her teeth IMO. Her bottom Jaw stuck out too far, giving her an edge to edge bite - possibly ever a cross bite although she may just have been posturing, and hence excessive/uneven wear on her central incisors.
As for a "Tom Cruise" smile, that just shows you how little the patient and dentist have looked at Tom Cruise's teeth. He does NOT have a perfect set, he has a centre line shift and mild crowding, which is extremely attractive I may add! I see even he is getting his fixed.

As for the pole dancer - I could not understand why the dentist carried out crown lenghthening procedures on her teeth/gums .

It is a pet hate of mine, thinking mild inperfections in teeth are "bad" and should be fixed.
