I am supposed to be exchanging houses with a woman who is a foster carer but she has just emailed me to say that she has been told by social workers nthat she cannot exchange due to the amount of animals next door have.

They have 1 dog, some monkeys and several other pets, but they do ont interfer with me or my children in any way at all.

Plus next door have also recently been approved as foster carers themselves.

Tbh I think the woman is lying, but could anyone clarify for me wether what pets next door have, would effect wether this woman could continue fostering.

Not a social worker but an adopter - I can only imagine this would be a problem if the animals somehow had access to your hosue/garden eg no fence between gardens.

I'd call her bluff - just say "oh Its OK the people next door have just been approved as foster carers, give me the name and phone number of your social worker and I'll get her to call tehm."

Exactly Kewcumber, I really don't see how it effects her at all.

I have emailed her back saying more or less what you just said.

Wondering if it is worth speaking to next door.

I really do think she is lying tbh, which annoys me more than the fact she has changed her mind.
