WWYD Oh MN jury - friends coming to stay

Aaaagh! I am having a stress! The stress is this; we live in a 3 bedroomed house, which is just about big enough to house myself, dh and the two dc. A while ago a friend, whom we haven't seen in 7 years, since before we had the dc, asked if she and her boyfriend can come to stay. We said yes...and now I'm thinking, aaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

The thing is that they are not sharing a bed which means that we need to rustle up two extra sleeping areas. Our plan was / possibly still is to put the two dc in the same room while they are here, and then to put friend in ds's room and put friend's boyfriend in the dining room on a sofabed.

Which is kind of okay, except that the dining room adjoins the living room; it's one big open space really, and the dc get up between 6.30 and 7. Friend and her bf don't have any children yet and I have no idea what time they are used to getting up. If they are used to sleeping in until 10, well, that's not going to happen in our dining room!

My MIL came round earlier and said "Put them up in a Travelodge", which is kind of okay, except that we are a bit skint and besides, you wouldn't get to chat late into the night, would you?

Is this whole idea a complete nightmare? What shall I do? I need inspiration...!

is your ds's room big enough for 2 bed, could they share a room but not a bed?

tent?
could they not share a room without sharing a bed, like katz said?
call her up and explain it to her so she can take the best option for them? she may even offer to stay in a guest house instead

Oh Katz, I don't know! It's difficult to ask people about their sleeping arrangements without seeming rude / nosey / judgemental, isn't it? But actually the answer is no, ds's room is well and truly single.

They are coming later this month. If the weather is like this, a tent would be a great solution!
