dare I say it? Barking mad!

UnquietDad Wed 16-Jul-08 23:08:39

In the absence of any evidence, I'd think they were either nuts or making it up, yes.

No there are somethings outside our ken that defy logic.

......but I would wonder!!! grin

Madlentileater Wed 16-Jul-08 23:10:10

I'd think they were subconsciously very sensitive to the body language or other communications of their pet.

specialmagiclady Wed 16-Jul-08 23:11:06

Differently wired, perhaps.

ditto unquietdad.

actually, I might think that they think they can do it. but I wouldn't believ ethey actually could

Blandmum Wed 16-Jul-08 23:11:26

I said barking mad. Arf!

handlemecarefully Wed 16-Jul-08 23:12:28

Yes, erm...why?

gemmiegoatlegs Wed 16-Jul-08 23:12:36

i am also another requiring evidence. i think it is far more likely I would be unable to communicate telepathically with animals

VeniVidiVickiQV Wed 16-Jul-08 23:14:09

Well, it would depend on the context really grin

Blandmum Wed 16-Jul-08 23:15:23

But if they could I'd really want to know what the fuck animals think they are doing when they lick their arses? Is it to take the taste of the pet food away????

QuintessentialShadows Wed 16-Jul-08 23:15:35

Well somebody I know says she can communicate with stray cats and other animals she meets.

QuintessentialShadows Wed 16-Jul-08 23:16:29

And then I googled. <sigh>
Seems it is not so uncommon.

VeniVidiVickiQV Wed 16-Jul-08 23:20:23

Oh good - so you know her then. Did she just come out with it, or, did you happen to be having a conversation about the supernatural?

(I think it's horseshit quite frankly but I'm intrigued grin)

pointydog Wed 16-Jul-08 23:22:02

Yes. Give woman big body swerve.

Amphibimum Wed 16-Jul-08 23:23:07

yes. yes i would.
id be nice... but i would think they had a v novel approach to reality. smile

DH once met someone who was telepathic with horses. Once a gelded racehorse told her that he wasn't running well because he didn't feel like a proper stallion any more and wanted to be known as (IIRC - which I probably don't) Dorothy.

Dorothy then went on to win lots of races etc.

So who knows?

QuintessentialShadows Wed 16-Jul-08 23:34:42

So, when the transvestite horse just got her gender straight, she performed?

I am intrigued.

QuintessentialShadows Wed 16-Jul-08 23:35:45

<hopes somebody will recognise the "Quote of the week" value in her previous post>

UnquietDad Thu 17-Jul-08 09:39:43

A horse with gender issues - now I've heard everything. Neigh and thrice neigh.

QuintessentialShadows Thu 17-Jul-08 11:18:47

UD, I have heard about cats with gender issues, though. However I fear that particular cat had more than just gender issues. The cat (male) was notorious for penetrating other male cats in the neighbour hood. Sore bottoms all round.
