So I'm dumb, never done it before, but if I bid on ebay & I get a message to say I've been outbid does it mean I def. won't get it? Cos I've seen the same article you can buy straight away for ok sum, but don't want to end up having to buy 2! The other article, to buy now is only available for few more hours. thanks. I know lots of people are addicted, but I must be thick - too complicated for me

If you've been outbid then you definitely won't get it. The best way to bid is in the last minute, put in your max bid and then hope. hth

Yep, if you've been outbid then you are no longer committed to paying for item #1 so you are ok to bid elsewhere and not end up with 2. Just check on the item to make sure, incase the outbidder has had his bid cancelled/retracted, but you should be ok generally. hth

I've had the outbidder fall through - you get the option to buy, you aren't obliged any more, once you're outbid.
