i cant find my car/house keys (one bunch) and purse.
i had them at the dentists on monday late afternoon, and used the keys to drive home afterwards. so they must be here somewhere.
But they are absolutely nowhere now. mad eh?

<bangs head against brick wall>

Check the bin/fridge/kid's toybox and then get dh/dp anyone else to check everywhere you've looked already. Dh is v. good at finding stuff I just cannot see and vice versa.

a total of 4 adults have been looking and puzzling over this for approx 2 days now... we have checked everywhere. except where they are, obv.

sagitta Wed 09-Jul-08 15:29:36

I had that yesterday. Found them under a bag of compost hmm

Amphibimum Wed 09-Jul-08 15:33:09

have checked at the bottom of a bucket i used to put weeds in after the dentists. not there.

sagitta Wed 09-Jul-08 15:36:50

That's how I found them - remembering exactly what I did on the last trip out (buying compost...)

good luck. It's really annoying...

my kids are such mercenaries.
yesterday i put a bounty on the head of these keys/purse. i said, 'any one finds them and we'll all go to toysrus' blush
and today they have 'found' them. in the chicken field.

I have one too!!!

it actually disguises itself as my 'safe-place' and then reverts back to normal once I have given it my precious things.......I swear it speaks too.....or at least, utters mwhahahahahaha at me as soon as it knows it is safe.hmm

Amphibimum Mon 14-Jul-08 09:46:45

ooh that sounds just like my mothers legendary 'safe place's ! many a treasured thing was lost to putting it in mums care, i tell you.

Psychomum5 Mon 14-Jul-08 09:49:36

I have many many safe places.

last one ate £20!!!angry

it has also have the keys for the window locks (gave them up last year when I finally gave in an bought new one), DS charger, again, gave it back once we had bought a replacement, mobile phones, oooh, all my picture CD's (found them at the weekend, oh the excitementgrin).

I reckon it hides a tonne of my belongings.......from when I was a childhmm

Our black hole likes teaspoons.

Psychomum5 Mon 14-Jul-08 09:55:07

I have copious amounts of tea spoons, mine seem to breed....maybe my black hole leads to your black holehmm......

if so, can I have my £20 back please....

Amphibimum Mon 14-Jul-08 10:06:44

i have a boring sensible answer to the teaspoon thing though... we had that problem. it tuned out dp was being a bit stroppy over zealous with the tipping things into the bin when clearing the table/cleaning the kitchen, and chucking teaspoons away without noticing (or caring).
i didnt feel complaining was the right thing though, given that he does both of those things at least 50 times to each time i do (i am a slattern, he is tidy)

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:06:54

I wish it bloody did if you're sending £20 my way! I may try and find the opening and send you my dirty washing too. grin

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:07:53

Oh and you can have ds1 and dd who is off school with an unexplained rash hmm for the day as well.

Amphibimum Mon 14-Jul-08 10:08:56

a rash??
kick em out to school love, wouldnt have gotten away with skiving for a rash in my day winkgrin

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:45:14

I put it to mn last night as to whether I should keep her off or not they said to. She was sick in school on Friday and she has got a cough and the rash is itchy, she is only 5 lol.

Psychomum5 Mon 14-Jul-08 10:50:47

ah, my black hole this end is not so big as to fit kiddies thro........I think they may geet squished!!!

believe me tho, should you find yours do fit, you will find five passed thro pretty damn quickly my end!!!!

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:52:04

ah yes but yours are older than mine , mine are diddy and skinny. I here the cut off age for black holes is exactly 5 years and 4 months. wink

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:53:10

Hmm ok just looked at your profile and see you have a five year old too...I suppose I can take him if you have my two i'll even throw the baby in at feeding time. grin

Psychomum5 Mon 14-Jul-08 10:53:55

damn, missed it by 8mths,......DS2 is 6 on sat!

flame sat here saying that both her's are smaller than yours, you can share herswink

FabioTheLiterateCat Mon 14-Jul-08 10:55:12

Amphibimum I am worried your children will start taking objects hostage, and refusing to release them until a reward of increasing worth is offered.
But then I don't know what the children offered the chickens for the keys back...

Ledodgy Mon 14-Jul-08 10:59:38

Ahh you see but the rules also state that one is forbidden from entering anothers hole thus as it's only ours that are connected Flame's dc would not be allowed through unless she wants them to be turned into space dust.

Amphibimum Mon 14-Jul-08 11:07:28

i dont think flame shoudl asnwer that question! grin

fabio, i am similarly concerned. <arf at bargaining with the chickens>.
i am toying with the notion of taking them to toysrus, as promised, but buying nought, since i didnt actually state that i would. to, um, teach them a lesson or something.
it seems to me, that id only be teaching them to be wily-er f*ckers than they already appear to be...hmm
