Rather embarrassed to ask but does everyone wax/shave/whatever down below? Is it the norm to do so and abnormal not to? sorry again

Nope I don't. Can't stand the irritation of regrowth afterwards.
(Now I'll expect some organised MNer to tell me that you no longer need to go through that)

From time to time I use the Immac razorless thing and it does look 'nicer' I think. Couldn't face waxing. Things have been getting a bit out of control since I've got to my mid thirties IYKWIM. I think it's growing upwards to meet the whiskers on my chin

only if I'm going to go swimming to make sure it's all well tucked in!

Agree with Amanda - can't stand the regrowth.

I do shave mine ocasionally, but hate the regrowth so don't do it very often.

While we're on the subject , can someone tell me what a Brazilian is?

Report
WigWamBam · 30/01/2005 19:29

A Brazilian wax takes it ALL away, apart from a tiny strip of closely-clipped hair in the front. Ouuuuuch!

A brazilian is the thin strip of hair cut short like a landing strip ;)

Have to add, I used to be the Undone Queen, let it all hang out was my motto, now I am the Hoolywood queen, not even a single hair left. To tell the truth, if I was really skint I would have that rather than my legs, I definatley feel "cleaner" Sorry if this is too much info!!!

Nope, I don't do a thing unless it's summer and then I just make sure I tend to it enough that the bathing suit looks okay.

Report
jessicasmummy · 30/01/2005 20:08

ill admit to the whole lot off... but tend to let it grow back to a decent length before attempting again - regrowth is irritating, but the wonders of nappy cream!!!

Report
piffle · 30/01/2005 20:08

I always think it would look better
I trim the length (eeeks what a description) to keep it tidy though, if I was heading out in a bathing suit then I would def immac
But I have a tank leg one now so no worries in that deot!

I always think the whole lot off would seem a bit pre pubescent. My friends husband likened her brazilian to a fishfinger

jessicasmummy · 30/01/2005 20:10

all off in my opinion is cleaner and a lot nicer for DH... iykwim!!!

Just got rid of the lot this am! I'm no yeti by any means - BUT - I did me pits, tummy stripe (that bizarre bit between your belly button and your foo!), full leg (inc big toes ) and, of course, the 'bonnet' is as smooth as my DD's peachy! However, re-growth is a NIGHTMARE and, considering I've just posted a thread about how my DH has been a complete T#*T 2night - I wish I hadn't bothered as there'll be NO horizontal folk dancing in our bedroom for a while !

It is soooooooooooo true - You lose ALL of your inhibitions after you've had a baby! There is Nooooooooooo WAY I would have EVER divulged this info so candidly before I had every Gyno and his stude have their fingers down me pants!
