The Gruffalo is a fantastic book for that age!

DD enjoys the Gruffalo, Gruffalo's Child, Room on a Broom...WE're going on a bear hunt..

RL scenarios: Alfie and Annie Rose books,

Seem to be reading a lot of the old fairy tales and Disney stuff recently though, so may have to go and riad her book box to remember more.

Yep - Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper, and the follow-up, A Pipkin of Pepper for the Pumpkin Soup is good, too.

Jez Alborough's Fix-It Duck, and Some Dogs Do

Giraffes Can't Dance - Giles Andreae

A Kitten Called Moonlight (can't remember who wrote it)

Six Dinner Sid (can't remember who wrote it)

Also another vote for Tiger who came for tea.

DD's not quite 3 and has enjoyed Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs for quite a while now. We have them on a CD in the car too and she finds them really funny

Pumpkin Soup. The best you ever tasted. Made by the cat, who slices up the pumpkin. Made by the squirrel, who stirs in the water. Made by the duck, who measures out a pipkin of salt, and tips in just enough.

Then pop off to bed in a quilt stitched together by the cat, embroidered by the squirrel, and filled with fine feathers from the duck.

And it's peaceful in the old white cabin.
