Can anyone explain to me, in laymans language what an I (eye?) Pod is. I know someone who would like one but have no idea what it is???

I am not of the computer generation so simple words are best for this Bunglie!!

It is a mini hard drive that you can save music on. But I am reliably informed that an iRiver is better. Don't ask me though - I am just the messenger.

mp3 player

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 13:52:28

It is the new 'walkman'

Bunglie Fri 21-Jan-05 13:54:05

Walkman I understand, MP3 player??????

Do you play CD's on it then or what?

JanH Fri 21-Jan-05 13:55:48

Some reviews for you, Bunglie.

IPod is an Apple brand name, there are lots of other under different names - MP3 players is the description to look for I think. They play music from their memories instead of a disc or a tape and can hold 1000s of tunes.

I don't understand them either if it helps!

It's this

PS Tunes can be downloaded into them off the internet or wherever.

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 13:56:28

You can 'record' you CDs on it an carry it arond like a walkman without having to carry the CDs...

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 13:57:08

And if you want to purchase one, I know someone who has done a lot of research recently on which is the best one....

JanH Fri 21-Jan-05 13:58:25

You had better not change your name back before you tell us...

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:00:17

I like seeing it pop up in active conversations.....

my DP has just purchased an iRiver, which he swears is the best thing ever (after much much much research)

I don't know much about it to be honest, but apparently it is far superior to the ipod!

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:02:55

starlover - so has my dh....he has also found software which make the music far superior......It has nothing to do with bangkokladyboys though

Bunglie Fri 21-Jan-05 14:03:13

Many thanks all, I will come back to you DHHABJFABLB!!! If I decide to get one.

more important what is with the name.....I need details here, had a BJ from a Lady Boy?

More....more... what have I missed, are you lou????

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:04:57

No, not Lou. Let me know if you want some more advice!

Bunglie Fri 21-Jan-05 14:05:31

Is an IRiver a type of I-Pod or are they different or just different a bit like an Apple Mac and a PC IYSWIM.

galaxy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:06:25

I have an idea who you are. Who wants to explain to Bunglie what a BJ and a Ladyboy are?

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:07:11

Sort of - but from what I can gather (second hand info again) iPod is the trendy one and iRiver is the tecky, hard core music person one.

Bunglie Fri 21-Jan-05 14:07:24

Def. More advice needed, but about the BJ and the Lady Boy

Anything you can throw in about the I-Pod would be appreciated but the name is far more interesting....

JanH Fri 21-Jan-05 14:07:29

They are both types of MP3 player, Bunglie. Different makes of the same thing.

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:09:14

A thread began last night about prostitution and your feelings about it and whether your partner had one in the past. Got heated. Then I decided to change my name. And it stuck.

Bunglie Fri 21-Jan-05 14:11:30

What is the general opinion on them. Are they just a fad? Overpriced big boys toy, (talking of which more info needed please ) Would you buy one or do you think they are just a craze and not worth it...
Does anyone have one or has bought one and have any views?

DHhadABJfromAbangkokLADYboy Fri 21-Jan-05 14:12:43

I will ask my dh tonight and summarise his answer for you
(the one who had a bj from a bangkok lady boy)
