Yes! We had one for DH's 40th last night. Fantastic evening - would do it all again next week Unfortunately some time until we have another big event to celebrate so next one will have to be 'just because'.

i'm 30 this year too yorkiegirl. but am going to be 7 months pregnant. undecided about what to do, maybe just go out for dinner with a few people. i quite like having a party in the garden (my birthday is the beginning of may) but the weather isn't reliable enough. so that's no help with your decision!

Dh & I did a joint birthday cum engagement party in 2003 & are planning another this year (he'll be 31 in November, I'll be 35). Works really well as you can mix both lots of friends.
