they arent too bad at all - though I find the fruits of the forest better. You were right about those for sale last night - bit steep for 4 days supply

Inane babbling Oggs? How very dare you.

And yes, I think I am going to do it. I'm seeing a solicitor on Monday and have registered with some letting agents here. I had another mea culpa event with the cows again this week, and I just can't keep doing this for the next 30 years.

Hello!
I too have fallen off all wagons. My low carbing lasted half a day and I haven't managed to restart. I'm trying to drink rum and diet coke from now on so I can ease myself into it gently.
Berrie, next holiday's in August (Spain). Are you thinking of coming along?
You won't get that unless you saw the thread yesterday about an MNer who was thinking of going on the same holiday at the same time as one of her MN chums and asking if that would be a bit stalkerish Um, yes.

Well, if you have made the decision you should go with it. Does he know you have made the decision Zeb?

That's brave Zeb, but tbh it sounds like you'll be so much happier when you do it. You might even get to ditch the ADs.

just spoke to mum, she's doing much better - had some breakfast and should be out in the morning

Despite the fact that she got up in the night to go to the toilet and passed an occupied body bag in the ward corridor

Thats good Binkle (not the body bag bit). Will she go back on the tablets?

Report
binkleandflip · 16/05/2008 10:46

I hope so, she wasnt great on the tablets - nausea a couple of days after taking etc but nothing like this.

Its crappy isnt it that you have to have this stuff to keep you going even though it will make you feel bad?

Helloooo!
Good news about your Ma Binkle.
Wasn't thinking of coming too Lyra But our next door neighbours once deliberatly turned up unanounced on our camping holiday which was very very odd!

We go away next month.

We fell off the wagon this week. We tried to diet as well as no alcohol as I was putting on weight since not drinking. Unfortunatly it was just too much for me If I abstain over the weekend I would feel all was not lost...don't know what we'll do.

Is this normal?

I recently realised that I tend to refer to dd, the dog and the cat as 'sisters'

Will this come back to haunt me in a tear-sodden memoir of dd's awful childhood in future years?

ie I was treated no better than an animal etc etc

Re. chickens...they'll peck it to bits and poo everywhere. We have ours in a run then let them out when we are about.
Runs can be quite expensive but I don't suppose dh will be building one for you any time soon?

Report
binkleandflip · 16/05/2008 12:51

ah, you know him so well Berrie

So you wouldnt advocate letting them have the run of the grass all the time etc? Also how do you wash the poo away, just hose it everyday or something?

Think it is high time dd had some more siblings

Berrie · 16/05/2008 12:54

Yes hose it away. Guess it depends how big your garden is, how secure the perimeter is and whether you have lovely plants you don't want them to eat.
Also, they might lay their eggs around the garden which could be hard to find.

Report
binkleandflip · 16/05/2008 12:56

Garden is probably around 40ft long by 30ft wide - no fancy plants but we have 9 foot wall with wrought iron spiky fence on top all the way round so pretty secure (unless they're thinking of re-enacting chicken run lol)

I hose the poo if they do it on the patio anyway. In the run we have a thick layer of wood chippings which they turn over all the time. It absorbe the mess. if you have a movable arc, you just move it round the lawn and they will will have scratched out all the weeds and moss- grass too if you leave it too long and fertilised it for you.
