Anywhere 'up North', especially Liverpool/Stockport

I think the North East is the friendliest. Sometimes I really regret moving away from there.

lunavix Fri 07-Jan-05 11:14:12

I think basically not the south...

i don't know any school playgrounds that are friendly. I avoid them like the plague!

Gwenick Fri 07-Jan-05 11:16:16

Anywhere north of the humber (bridge). The further north you go the friendlier they get

Although I'm stuck in Wellingborough, still nice people but not 'as' nice

i agree with nailpolish ..newcastle the friendliest place ive ever been.i went for a weekend last year and it amazed me how many people said hello to me in the street.
coming from the south that never happens here.
as for school playgrounds ive found if your kids havent been to playschool, nursery and school together then your not worth knowing.

Agree newcastle is a friendly place, being half geordie myself, but it's so COLD!

Also my father was an arse of the highest order, and apparently still is from stories I have heard. I had a geordie bf who was slightly less of an arse, but i realise these aren't typical of the geordies on the whole. Love geordie accents I do.

I agree (of course) with Yorkiegirl, LEEDS, LEEDS, LEEDS
