Hi

My colleague is leaving work soon to start her maternity leave and I've been put in charge of the money collection and pressie buying. It's years since I had a baby and I'm really stuck for ideas as to what to buy. Can anyone please help me out with ideas? Thay can be as sensible or quirky as you like

TIA

Aniles

Babys 1st Tatoo by Jim Mullen! (see Amazon) or a gro bag for baby, always very useful!

A goody box of pampering treats for mum to be. Things like nice smellies, glossy magazine, favourite chocs...
A copy of the mumsnet book
A voucher for a pedicure (as she can't reach her toes) at a local beauty salon.
Will keep thinking.

I'm definitely on the side of nice stuff for mum to be. Neals Yard do some nice gift boxes of stuff, inc a preg kit. I also really appreciated a good book from my boss which was his way of telling me that I was still me and not just "pregnant woman" which was how everyone else related to me by the end!

I love the 'vouchers for new Mum' approach.

Hair
Manicure
Pedicure
For new clothes when lost the 'bump'
Massage
Eyelash tint

And grobag for baby is a great idea - wish someone had thought of that for me instead of me stumbling across then when DS 7 mths
