Can I crash your thread and second that? Happy Christmas Suze ! I absolutely, definitely, swear on my unpaid MN subscription (which I will pay, I know it's run out) that I will send you a festive email before Christmas, complete with pics of kids. It's on my "to do" list but I am poorly sick and have only started to feel a but better this morning...

OH how lovely!

I'm just stuffing my dinner down my neck and catching up on MN while the kids are ..... dunno where they are .. and I see this!

Thanks eidsvold, that is very considerate of you, I've just come back from an afternoon at the river, and it is soooooooo gorgeous. Don't know exactly what we will be doing on the big day but it will be laid back and out of doors. How about you?

And MM I was just talking to SD about how I hadn't seen you around for ages and we deduced you were probably without modern conveniences in Welsh Wales at the inlaws. Glad you are feeling better but lay off the booze once in a while will ya! xxxx

Hello gorgeous ! I haven't had any booze for ages - I am ill, ill, ill with a horrible hacking cough and snot-filled cold. As are both the kids Haven't been on MN for days but I think I have turned the corner as I feel much perkier this morning.

So is it Christmas sooner for you than for us? How long have I got to send that email?

And Hello Israel I was just thinking about you too, haven't seen you around for ages. How do you like it? Are you further than Yanchep? We're just over the Canning Bridge near Applecross. How old are your kids? Maybe we could meet up in Kings Park or somewhere central one day and talk about Minstrels and Quavers ..... Mmmmmm Minstrels. Mmmmmm Quavers

My ds1 is 3.5 and ds2 15 mo so that sounds about right for a romp in the park, or somewhere other if you would prefer.

I am full time mum or whatever the current PC phrase is so any time would be good.

Hope to see you soon!

we are having the family here christmas day - saves taking dd2 out for the day - easier to deal with little babe at home.. plus plenty of room for kids to run about and our family room is downstairs - lovely and cool..... just need to finish decorating!! I think it won't all be finished but will be livable. Have the back deck to lounge on too!! Probably fights over the hammock too!!!

Boxing Day off to the beach for breakfast and then home to have friends for lunch. Dh is off for the week so we will have some quality family time... he hasn't had any time off since July.

Israel - enjoy your first summer christmas in Aus.

Dh is having trouble getting used to christmas being hot and sunny.

Hi, any chance of the brownie recipe times and oven positions for an Aga?? Happy Christmas!

DingWongMerrilyOnHigh · 22/12/2004 06:13

Ooooooo
I really wouldn't like to comment on aga times but if given a Chinese burn until I told I would have to say first 3 or five minutes in the top then put in the bottom (slow) oven and take a look at it after 20 minutes.

But the trick to these brownies is a pale opaque top like cracked earth and barely set dark underneath.

Good luck and happy xmas to you too anteater
