going out for a meal tonight with some of the girls from work, looking forward to that as havnt been out for ages and ages.

my friend whos sil is having load of trouble with the press, her mum put a little bit in our local paper announcing the time of funeral etc and they asked if the could write a small bit about it which they read and ok'd.Then they decided to print it in the regional paper who SOLD the story to The Times (it was in sats , they didnt know till one of the girls at work brought it in yesterday)and another big paper. now they have had loads of papers ringing them and asking for quotes and pictures, they had an american news channel ring them and even richard and judy show wanted her dh to go on and talk about it. its not even the funeral till next week, how can they be allowed to sell the story and make this all up and print the pictures. shes soo upset.

evening ladies
happy 35th Haggis! sorry Im late...never ever get chance to pooter-ate these days as always eating toast and marmalade or asleep. Bump is chuffing massive, cant believe my profile. Did not miss it from last pregnancy, still in some kind of shock that I am pregnant..nearly 4 mths now yikes.
Consultant asked if I was continent after my 3rd deg tear, I said yes, so she said to def. go for a natural birth this time, unless baby is mahoosive; and I am up for the challenge! (and chicken of having a c-section, if I am honest,)
dd FINALLY took her first steps today, she can stand alone really well, it's just the steps that are hard bless her, she needs to build her confidence big time.

Don't woory about the MD thing Jenn
at McCookie!!
Good to have Voods back as well.

Had a really strong response from my emails from the local MP and a local councillor. Looks as if the Council will have to rethink the increase in the face of really strong local objection

It's in our favour that we are the best local P&T group. We not just a coffee morning; but rather have timetable for play, snacks and activities.
Will keep you posted (whether you want to or not )

Do you have an old mobile lying around that Doodle could play with Voods, works wonders for Macpup

Same age as my mum. I wonder if there is more to it, like the pneumonia getting him because he was weak with cancer.

YouEatedMyCookie · 31/01/2008 10:25

Sounds like it, Jenn. He had been treated for Leukaemia and a cancerous kidney previously.Probably had a weakened system.

Weather is pants up here. Gale force winds and snow forecast for the next couple of days. Don't wanna go out at all

Just collected my recycling boxes from the next street. Got woken this morning with hail, and it was sleeting just now. ~Just off out to buy a leaving present for the best nursery nurse who is leaving to go to college to become a nurse. She will be brilliant, but sad to see her go. Ds doesn't jnow what he will be missing.

Always the good ones who go on to better things, isn't it.

Went swimming despite weather. No joke trying to shove pram through horizontal hail. dd all snuggled up in her blanket and cosy toes surveying the vista through her rain cover

Wind howling, hail JUST melted, snow due tomorrow, off to the soft play tomorrow. Unfortunately I've had a couple of glasses of wine tonight.

They'll have a job shifting it anyway.

Have treated myself to new wellies (this is old age catching up with me )
They are the fabby ones that have a rubber foot and neoprene leg so they'll even fit the leg that I broke a few years ago. Haven't been able to wear a full length welly for AGES. Have splurged my birthday money on them - it's an investment!!
