This evening I was asked to leave a bus with my 8month old in favour of a motorised wheelchair to get on. The law states pushchairs may be asked to get off and priority given to wheelchairs, and if you refuse you are then seen as rude, selfish, inconsiderate etc. My take on this is one form of discrimination has been swapped for another, single parents, parents of newborns etc are then at risk of being stranded waiting for the next available space, and even then could be asked to get off several more times in a single journey.this also puts aren't a and their children at risk walking the streets To get home please consider signing my petition to get equality for parents on transport http://chng.it/ndrQ7kDY
