grin

How wide is it?

I need to buy a wrist support, I can't find the tape measure but I found string... turns out that my wrist is the same circumference as a dvd box is wide grin

13.5cm or 5 and 2 little bits inches.

Good grief your wrist is tiny!

DoctorFrankenSquonk Thu 04-Oct-07 13:11:39

13 1/2 cm wide, 19 cm long

or if you prefer old-style: 5 inches and two little bits wide and 7 1/2 inches long

was I first, please tell me I was the first one to get the tape measure out

grin

(sorry about your wrist btw)

DoctorFrankenSquonk Thu 04-Oct-07 13:11:55

bugger. I wasn't first

serenity Thu 04-Oct-07 13:12:10

Beat you grin

DoctorFrankenSquonk Thu 04-Oct-07 13:12:30

serenity didn't know what those little bits of inches are called either grin

flowerybeanbag Thu 04-Oct-07 13:13:16

Aren't they called 'fractions of an inch'?

Catchy!

<worried>

I made it 13.7 and 5 and 4 little bits..

serenity Thu 04-Oct-07 13:14:56

I think, going on the concensus, 'little bits' is the official term (or it should be anyway).

DoctorFrankenSquonk Thu 04-Oct-07 13:15:40

grin

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:16:22

Thank you - and now I am even more hmm

X-small - 11.5-13cm
Small - 14-15.5cm

I have a feeling my one for my left wrist was an XS because she had to go away and hunt out the rarely used box grin

Yes, I do have teeny wrists, dainty little hands too, not entirely sure what happened with the rest of me!

serenity Thu 04-Oct-07 13:16:31

concensus consensus, bugger.

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:17:14

The little bits are indeed called little bits.

Tis taught in schools.

Or it would be if they used inches.

(No "little bits" on the site though, hence going for the cms measurements)

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:27:01

Which size do I get? <whines>

serenity Thu 04-Oct-07 13:31:20

How does your current one compare to your piece of string? If it's smaller it must be an XS, so get that - if it's a bit bigger get the S instead. You know, you post on MN, you should have proper truck drivers hairy wrists, then you wouldn't have this problem.

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:34:52

You're just getting cocky now hmm grin

<wanders off to find current one>

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:42:47

blushblushblush

So... the original support it seems still has a label (I was convinced it had washed off) - with a size, and a company name blush

pmsl

<<<goes to put tape measure away>>>

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:45:49

Now I have to pay silly postal prices to get it couriered otherwise it won't get here til after the strike

Flamesparrow Thu 04-Oct-07 13:54:06

shock That cost a fortune in the end... do you think I can write it off as a business expense and say it is carpal tunnel?
