My dear friend J suffered a stillbirth in Jan 2006 - horrendous for her,her DP and her DD.

She (against all odds) became pregnant this year, developed gestational diabetes and had pre-eclampsia with both previous pregnancies.
I had a call this morning saying her blood sugars had dropped and they needed to get the baby out now!

This afternoon, she gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl weighing 5lbs 5oz called Autumn.

There are still some concerns over sugar levels but I am literally jumping for joy for her having waited outside the theatre for what seemed like hours today with her parents.

Miracles do happen

AS I was driving away from the hospital today,I drove down an avenue of beautifully colour-changing trees and thought what a great name Autumn is.

I canno ttell you ho wmuch my firend deserves this outcome-she truly is a special person and has suffered many setbacks in her life.....I still am so thrilled for her..

That's wonderful news - and I'm imagining little Autumn with lovely red hair - or auburn at the very least?!

I know I probably sound mad but I really cannot contain my joy.
She is the most honest, giving and "real" people and does not deserve the hand life has dealt her so I am ecstatic.

I will indeed be telling her about the mad/wonderful bunch of women wishing her well-I know she will be touched.

I can't stop grinning and also remembering those first magical 48hrs or so
