Neighbour's cleaner

Hi
My neighbour's cleaner does't stay for the amount of time I think she is supposed to. I see her going about 2 hours in to a three hour shift and she smokes outside their front door too.

Should I tell my neighbour?

how well do you know your neighbour, jane

Well, we used to have a really good friend in common years ago. But now we just say hello when we put our recycling out.

She does have a lot of empty wine bottles.

No, IMO it's not your business to spy on your neighbours cleaner. Sorry

you could ask her if she'd recommend her cleaner ( and if not, her offy)

LOL, AQ! I was wondering if the wine bottles had any bearing, jane!

As you don't know the cleaner's contracted hours I would say nothing unless your neighbour mentions it.

Hhhm tough one. I guess if your neighbour is happy with the standard of cleaning it shouldn't matter how long the cleaner is staying for.

I'd be tempted to ask your neighbour if she's happy with her cleaner, as you were thinking of employing her. Then ask her for a rough idea of how much she charges for the 2 hours she's there.

Bit sneaky I know.

Yes but I would want to know if my cleaner sloped off early.

Her boyfriend comes in when he comes to pick her up sometimes too.

So what if she smokes outside their frontdoor.
Has your neighbour complained about the standard of cleaning?
Is your neighbour a good friend of yours.?and to be honest is it any of your business?
There are probably more important things to be doing or worrying about aren't there?

Very devious, Badhair. I like your style!

I'm sorry but I agree with doobydoo - I really don't think it's any of your business and how do you know it's her boyfriend? And are you implying she drank the wine?!

does her boyfriend stay long?

jane103 · 11/10/2004 19:13

And I know for a fact that she doesn't like smoking at all.

It's not up to an employer to tell an employee that they can't smoke outside!

my view is that I don't mind if my cleaner leaves before the time is up so long as she does everything properly - there are times when I ask her to do extra things.

Maybe you should use the hours spent spying on your neighbours cleaner to clean your own house.

I don't know- I try not to look at the boyfriend as we used to be close a few months back.

I have no idea about the wine, think she may prefer bacerdi Breezers.
