Does anyone know where 3 year olds could have about 20-30 mins pony rides in South West / South London? It's just a one-off treat rather than ongoing lessons.

I think you'll find it really hard to find because of insurance. Most schools insure from 5/7 but, having said that, if it's just a walk on a pony rather than a lesson you might have more luck. Look up on the BHS website for stables. There's one in Wimbledon and Richmond but think they're fairly grown up places.

A friend did something like that at Dulwich Riding School if I remember rightly.

Try Deen City Farm which is somewhere between Wimbledon and Merton, or the Richmond Riding Stables - niece had her 5th birthday party there and her 3year old brother definitely had a ride too.

My local yard does lessons for 3 yr olds but it's in Chingford (E4).

Tbh, 20-30 mins is a long time for just 'a ride' unless you're going outside, and most places won't do led hacks because it's too dangerous/insurance issues.

Agree with Sykes, you'd deffo have more luck asking for a 5 min walk about, esp if the children don't ride regularly. At that age they're not really 'learning' anything in a lesson other than balance - most of the 3 yr olds I used to lead/walk alongside to stop them falling off were more interested in looking at mummy or playing with the pony's mane than listening to the instructor!

Good luck, though
