DH is telling me I'm absolutely mad but I've started to make my 'what I'm buying people' lists - hopefully so I can spread the cost a little - so please reassure me that I haven't totally lost it and I'm not the only one

About to order the turkey tomorrow.

Bought 18 bottles of wine, in JS's wine sale. They will go into the garage.

Do your children like going to "see" Santa. My two boys are really scared of going in the grotto. Is that normal? They are 2 and 3.

Yes, definitely, DS already has a small cache of stocking fillers. The only thing I have to remember is a) where I hide them b) I don't duplicate.

And they were bought this week btw.

Oooooooooooo Christmas cake thread, it needs doing

anyone got any good ideas for £5 presents for adults - we made that our limit last year, but i don't think anyone was bowled over by their candles or diaries!

Lidls were doing 4 inch remote control speedboats this week. Always good for a bloke in the bath who has everything I say.

Brill - I feel loved
and apologies to those who are offended by this thread
Back to those lists - I like the £5 idea but I always feel bad when people buy us more expensive stuff - how do you get round this....

mumclaire - it was a mutual agreement with our extended family, but they got all creative - or in the case of bil illegal by copying cds! i plan to make fudge and so on, but then never do.

Luckylady, you have to be quick. Link here to the latest special offers. They seem to do something and don't do it again for another year.

Ds birthday is 19th December so this I was determined to do it a little earlier to try and spread the cost. I have bought one thing for dd although she's a bit tricky as it will be her 1st Christmas at 7 months old. I've bought ds birthday presents bar a few little bits and bobs and I think most of his Christmas stuff is done too. I have only got a fw stocking fillers so far but add to them whenever I can.
