Desperate last hope for lost precious cuddly bunny - can anyone help?

My dd has lost bouncy ben, her cuddly precious close friend and is devastated. we satyed with friends in london at the weekend and somewhere between there and home we have lost him.
We went to battersea park and then stopped at reading services on the M4 going west on the way back. i can only think he must have fallen out of the car when we stopped.
he is accompanied by a rather manky cotton holey banket and must have been seen by someone.
I called both places and they have had nothing handed in but i thought maybe a mumsnetter might have felt sorry for them and offered them a home - we have in the past been known to rescue a small cuddly dog from the motorway and are rather hoping that might have happened here.
This is rather a despreate last hope but was anyone in Battersea Park on Sunday morning or Reading services car aprk near the hotel on sunday lunch time? there were hundreds of people maybe one of them was a mumsnetter - we are desperate....TIA.

You could try Blooming Marvellous' Toys Reunited. The website seems to be down at the moment, but you could try later.

I was going to suggest trying the 'Toys Re-United' page (on Blooming Marvellous, see here halfway down the page), but the link doesn't seem to be working at the moment - not sure if that's a temporary glitch or if they've stopped doing it.

thank you, i'll try the site later , what a great idea.
he's a hamley's rabbit about 3.5 years old, i don't know if hamley's change styles regularly. even so it won't be him, hes got a saggy bum these days and has got chewed ears, she'll know the difference.
i'm really upset too, its like losing a member of the family, we've had him nearly as long as we've had dd1.

Oh, how sad for you both. What about trying to find a replacement on eBay? I know what won't be the same, but...

You may need to buy a copy of Tatty Ratty - it's the most marvellous tale of a favourite toy who goes missing and "returns" via a series of adventures.

Thank you bluestocking, she loves stories and we have ben trying to suggest he's on an adventure.....sounds perfect.

Thank you totaleclipse, but Bouncy Ben has a beany bum, he's sort of beige and cream and only has a hamleys label, not sigened feet. I have looked but it doesn't look like they make him any more . Does anyone know if they have a wider range actuallly in store. I could try sending DH to look, but we're on holiday for 2 weeks from the end of this week. I've tried every avanue, I have this awful image of him being picked up by a rubbish collector and being incinerated, , it makes me want to cry

Aww cluttered, can't help but sending my sympathies.
I know exactly how you feel- I have had a 'cudgie' all my life- (certain pillow cases made of the right material) I lost mine when I was about 7 years old as I was walking to Bradford city football ground to watch football with my Dad. I was devastated.

I found it the next time we went at the side of the road in some leaves......

Don't give up hope yet xxx

you could try emailing fiona mcgregor at blooming marvelous as she is responsible for 'toys reunited' and she may have had it added to her list pending new website??????

Is he one of these?

If he can't be found, I'm sure we can organise mnetters around the country to send postcards 'from' Bouncy Ben, before he sends his cousin to live with her instead, perhaps?
