He's 2nd in line to the throne and not going to be lacking in servants for that sort of thing. It was a lovely evening today - 4 buzzards calling over the fields, and a fantastic murmuration of starlings - I have't see one that big for years. Then a very scenic sunset. Plus a natter with several neighbours and their dogs.

Glad to hear that homework went ok LetUs - DS was being a grotbag stressy about the whole Fortnite thing and the fact that it has a trillion gigabyte upload to do before he can play again - so he wasn't terribly keen on doing homework either. He has set his alarm early tomorrow so he can try and see it before school. I dread to think what mood he'll be in if there are any problems with it tomorrow

Listened to a comedy on Radio 4 Extra yesterday about a British chap who’s living in Sweden with his partner and baby. It was about Swedish Christmas and he offered to cook the big meal. Lots of very lovely accents . He forgot to put a bowl of porridge out for Tomten(not sure of the spelling) and then his oven broke part way through cooking the enormous ham. It was a lot funnier than I’m describing

Unfortunately I was sitting in the hospital. All went well. On the advice of son-in-law we parked in the cinema car park up the road. Bit of a walk, but probably didn't take any longer than going round and round looking for a space, and a lot less stressful. Cheaper too.

Evening wenches. It’s been raining today. In other news, the sky is up, the ground is down, and I still haven’t met and seduced any of the HBFs.

It’s called The Cold Swedish Winter, Wicked. Just been reading a bit more about it and it says it has some of Sweden’s popular actors in it.

Had a very positive meeting at school this morning and DS2 did tonight’s homework willingly and without problem. I’m enjoying this whilst it lasts.

DH is muttering in the kitchen because I’ve just been in there and didn’t put a new bin liner in after he’s emptied the bin. Apparently going shopping on the way home for his niece’s birthday cards and present, getting home and putting a wash on, making sure DS2 was fed, putting the ironing away, supervising homework, putting the washing out, and making sure DS2 was ready for bed mustn’t have been enough. Obviously I should have been doing more whilst he went straight out from work and then just came in about 15 minutes ago. Fuck. Off.

Oh I got home to a list of all the things DH has achieved today, and then "I'm just throwing something together for DS - I haven't done anything for you though." He did apologise, sort of. And then threw together something for himself to eat, and went out. I cooked my own tea.

And I wonder why I feel like a seething mass of resentment sometimes..

The cats love me though, and regulalry bring me dead mice to eat. So there's that...

I'm going to have an early night - this in Stupid Cat's cue to climb onto my lap, purring, and performing catupuncture. Stupid animal.

I didn't replace the bin liner yesterday in my defence though I was getting the bin out plus all other assorted chores before I went to work while DH was still working from home having a lie-in. And he didn't grumble about it. Also, he didn't 'throw something together' for me last night, because he had one portion's worth of leftovers for DS, and his tea was more of a snack than a meal. He also offered to help cook mine, but I was busy being martyred self-sufficient and wouldn't let him help. I am a bloshy madam sometimes.
I'm sure Athos can figure out a suitable penance/punishment for me. Hopefully.

Better get back to work... so far today has been very successful/a dismal failure - depending on which project you look at.

Oh MrLetUs, that's just not good enough. I'll forgive MrHelen in view of update. Mind you, DH never does anything in the house. He wouldn't know where to start with cooking, doesn't know how to use the washing machine and has no idea where anything goes. His excuse has always been that he does the garden, house maintenance and DIY for all the family. He is always doing something though, so he's not sitting on his arse doing nothing. Oh, to be fair, he does help with the washing up, but that's a fairly recent thing.
