you know this new fashion of leggings and "pregnant tops"(DS1 son's words!)

does absolutely everyone on this planet suit them except me?
I'm small and fat with big boobies and big legs unfortunately.
i brought one of these dress-top type things home a couple of months back and (although both little daughters thought mummy was suddenly being very fashionable)my son (7)told me i looked "ridiculous Mummy".!!!
Hubbie thought the same. He said I look nice in pretty v neck t shirts and skirts.
do i go along with the fashion and buy these things or what?
there's nothing else in the shops(or should I say "Evans"?)I know they're trying to stay fashionable but there are some of us who just don't look right in the sort of clothes only size 8 to 14 do look nice in.

Actually I am short have fat legs and a big bum and for once I think the fashion suits me. I don't wear the leggings or tight jeans though - just teh tops and I don't go for the really baggy ones. I was worried they would make my arse look extra big but I think it is actually OK

They look nice on 5 year old girls, and are very practical for little girls who won't wear trousers, but I don't like them on anyone old enough to be pregnant, it makes you look pregnant.

(or maybe I am deluding myself?)

They look horrible on everyone over the age of 16

Agree - love them as they are super comfy but last time I wore one I was asked how the pregnancy is going. when I said I wasn't pregnant the woman from toddler group said 'no, you are, I remember you telling me!' grrr. not great for fat ladies imo, also can't seem to fit boobs in the boobs bit.

The Lady is right they'll be everywhere in the sales. Please avoid the ones that try to look like Pucci prints, they are all awful.

I like the plain colours or the Black and white type prints only.

Have ignored the garish yello black and white/ purple yellow and green type combos

I've never been a fashion-victim cos even when I did have a waist, i always had big boobs and big legs. Trouble is, "Evans" (picking on them cos they're the only shop i've been able to rely on for the past 6/7 years!) were accused of not being "with it" on a morning programme once. Now they seem to think that everyone - from size 0 upwards!- suits the same things. We don't! We need a style of our own ... that suits and flatters us...! (PLEASE!)

its common - for people who can only afford new look

I think they are great, I havnt left the house for 5 years while this "crop top hipster jeans" things been going on!! Its the first time Ive been able to buy something from a fashion shop for a looooong time

A tip though, if you have stupidly large boobs like what I have, is to only buy the tops that pull in under the bust, otherwise the fabric falls straight down from your widest point (your tits!!) and makes you look like Hattie Jakes from the Carry On films

well,my Hubbie just found them so...ooo unflattering and to be honest he very rarely gets upset by what i'm wearing---and i'm a b.i.i.g girl! He just absolutely hated the dress/top.(and it had a kind of high waist band...right under the boobs..).He said he'd "lost" my boobs and I did look like I was expecting quads/!and this comes from a very mild-mannnered/easy-going bloke1
