What to do??? Have been on school hols for 4 weeks now with this bloody weather and dd's just cant get along. Desperately need to escape them but has been a really stressful time for my mum so I cant ask her to have the girls. Due to the weather it has been a really high parental involvment holiday and am knackered. Not sleeping either so that doesnt help. AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!! I know this is a common complaint, just wanted to voice it.

I have instigated the 1 hour quiet reading time after lunch. Gives us all a chance to decompress followed by a swim at the local pool in the afternoon.

It's the mornings I find hard. I'm really glad to be going to work tomorrow.

Day 2 of 7 weeks.

Today we did a dawn raid on the swimming pool. (6 + 4) then we came home had some lunch and I put them in front of the TV and did some gardening . They were so knackered that they just slumped and as i was in the garden I couldn't hear the screaming

Day 2 of 6 weeks and they have driven DH mad today while I went to work.

We are off to soft play tomorrow as it is only £1 per child and will wear them out.

If it rains we are still going out in cagoules and wellies!!

Aaaagh - has been terrible, they are so tired and can't talk properly let alone play nicely.

Fed up already and DH is going away tonight for 4 days. And it is raining again.....

I have survived day one of the holidays, just!
Why do they have to argue so much, I am sure they don't argue quite as much with their friends at school.
Tomorrow we are borrowing a Wii so I am hoping that will help calm them down.
I am hoping for some sunshine so we can at least get out now and again over the 6 weeks.
