just for 40 minutes or so......got a few little things to do around the house before I feel I can officialy sit on the sofa with a glass of wine (ok I admit it - it's cheap plonk Lambrini - but it's better than nothing ).

All I want to do is iron about 5 items of clothing, wash 2 baby bottles, put the pushchair away and tidy up the last few things off the living room floor........

are you sure? There's alsorts lurking under there....and as it has a very low base they only get fished out when I have the energy to pull it out to hoover (which would be about once in a blue moon

Come on MN'ers - it must be somewhere.....inspire me

ahh - the fridge.....could well be - I know the Lambrini is lurking in there.....and on my way down to check I can put the pushchair away and tidy up the living room - and possibly do the bottles too and ironing too (all of which I'll have to pass to get to the fridge to check

DH caught me trying to put the Microwave Steam Steriliser in the Fridge the other day - they're very close together and I guess I got confused

Bet if you timed yourself (or we could time you) it wouldn't take 40mins! I just folded and put away a mountain of clothes and it took me about 10mins!

Or if you get dh to do half like putting pushchair away and wash bottles it would take half the time!!!!!!

LoveMyGirls - it probably wouldn't take that long - but if I did manage to find it (the get up and go) I may decide to try and get a few other things on my list which were going to be "deferred" until tomorrow.....having said that I was aiming to finish at 9pm so maybe I'll just stick to the bare essentials

as for DH helping......he probably would put the pushchair away - but only after he's fallen over when he gets in from work a bit later - it's right in the middle of the hallway (and because of it's width.....or perhaps the narrowness of the hall?) you're only left with about 15cm to squeeze past to get into the lounge - not really the way I want to greet him when he gets in LOL.

Ahh DH is let off then!!

Don't suppose theres any chance of getting a cleaner in to concentrate on the other stuff at least?

Dior - we're getting there very slowly, but very surely - basically we started "from scratch" again after we'd been to Relate - right back to being very good friends (that happen to share a bed lol) and working on just establishing decent communication etc etc again - we're back up to occasional hugs and kisses now - and haven't had a single row since then either .

The way we see it is that it took a long time for our relationship to deteriorate (sp) to where it did - so it's going to take time to get it back (but he's besotted with DS3 so that's a HUGE relief for me).

Anyhow - go on - time me.......I'm going to try and get it sorted before he gets home..

Ok - I'm back, ironing is done (and put away - was only a few little bits), baby bottles are washed and sterilised - just waiting to be made up - which I'll do later, pushchair is away and living room tidy.........and hows that for timing - DH literally just walked through the front door

oh and I found my get up and go.....it was under the Lambrini in the fridge ......but I'm going to save it for tomorrow as I'm making a concerted effort to keep/make the house clean in stages rather than occasional blitzes.....
