Do any of you join in conversations when there are over 100 posts?

I do sometimes, but I never read all the posts and then probably sound off topic! Just wondered how these long threads keep going ;)

lilolilmanchester Tue 26-Jun-07 14:30:40

rarely, because I'm not patient enough to read them all and usually most of what I would have said has been said already. Also becoming a bit of a thread killer, so hope I don't do that to yours!

nickytwotimes Tue 26-Jun-07 14:32:18

i have saved you, lilo!
i tend not to, btw

manicmama Tue 26-Jun-07 14:33:46

I don't think this one has taken off anyway. Just was feeling a bit guilty that I might be the only one who does not read every word

lilolilmanchester Tue 26-Jun-07 14:39:18

thanks nickytwotimes! Was starting to get paranoid!

Walnutshell Tue 26-Jun-07 14:40:33

I'm going to get in quick before this thread hits 100! And also so lilolil doesn't feel like a threadkiller

AbRoller Tue 26-Jun-07 14:44:27

Ladies you have nothing to fear - Sleepy and I are the official Thread killers

lilolilmanchester Tue 26-Jun-07 14:48:00

that link didn't take me anywhere, but just to prove you're NOT a threadkiller....

lissie Tue 26-Jun-07 14:49:31

if something really grabs me then i scan but rarely post

AbRoller Tue 26-Jun-07 14:58:59

don't now whats happened, maybe it's been deleted or something.

Anyhoo....lilo we can't start another thread like that last one, it got to 1000 posts (me being 1000, gloat)so lets agree that I'm right and leave it at that?

UCM Tue 26-Jun-07 15:00:10

God yes, the ones with over 100 posts are normally the rows

I do normally start off with have only read the OP blah blah blah

lilibetpotter Tue 26-Jun-07 15:00:54

I do presume that everythign has been said and they have gone off topic and maybe even back onto topic again if it's reached a couple of hundred posts

lilolilmanchester Tue 26-Jun-07 15:22:44

ok AbRoller, you're right (but you still haven't killed this thread!)

AbRoller Tue 26-Jun-07 15:30:07

Yeah, it seems I'm loosing my title. I give up!

PrettyCandles Tue 26-Jun-07 15:36:20

I think that these very long threads can be quite boring to read, and tricky to keep track of the conversations, if you haven't been in on them from fairly early on. So I don't generally bother with very long ones, either. Unless the title really grabs ms, in which case I'll read the OP, and maybe skim the rest - until I lose track and die of boredom.

Ooh, I'm back - glad to see this post has not gone on for too long and that people generally feel the same as me
