Sorry to hear this, I had mild depression from divorce, losing someone close, family court etc found out it was enhanced by the pill I was on, but I did have anti depressants but didn’t take them for long, I used the Kalms drops and nights ones to help me sleep. Now been off the pill since Sept and haven’t felt low since, moods and sadness have subsided. Hope you feel a little better soon.

Thank you I feel like I'm going crazy my mind won't stop I just keep overthinking everything and worrying more ...think I should have a chat with my gp...some people have said they feel better and some say they don't I'm just worried that I will feel worse 🙁 I think if I could sleep I would have a clearer mind .

Talk to GP.

Ads work for many people but not for everyone.

Yeah I will have a good chat with them ..I think I've stayed strong for too long and I've accepted I need to talk

I went on anti depressants, I really didn't want to but things got to the point where I just couldn't get out of the hole myself.

I was prescribed Citalopram. The first two weeks were a bit rough if I am honest, they don't work overnight.
But a few weeks in, I started to feel so much better, and braver and ready to face everything and sort things out.

The stuff I was depressed about was still there but as the GP explained the tablets 'take the rough edges off'.

I eventually came off them (it took 2 attempts you have to go slowly).

Something to take the edge of would be great ..I've always been a worrier but I can't keep bursting into tears and when I talk to friends I feel like I'm boring them

Yes, it gets to the point you can't think straight, and the overthinking just goes round and round.

I also had some counselling (I was very sceptical) but again, that was surprisingly helpful too.

Sometimes you can't do it alone. Plus even close family and friends don't completely understand.
