Well, that was embarrassing. It's always a lady who fits me with these heart things, but no, this time it was a rather gorgeous young man. I was pleased I'd put a decent bra on. I was so flummoxed that I walked off without the paperwork and he had to come running down the corridor after me.

Then I popped into the local Sainsbos for some milk and was just checking that I hadn't got wires dangling from me when a neighbour came up to me and asked if I'd had a good Christmas. You can bet that if ever I'm in an awkward situation a neighbour always appears. I'm sure they lie in wait for me.

I looooooooooooooooove my new boots - so much that today I tried to buy another pair. All out of stock in my size now. Well, they're not, but I'd have to pay full price and I'm too tight for that. Or I think I am... I may be persuaded otherwise if I go and gaze upon my boots again.

We got a new vacuum cleaner last year too - it's cordless and rather whizzy. But I can't admit to liking it too much because I was very and "But we don't need another hoover"
