Probably should also have said: we like wine. And gin. And Baileys. And...you get the point!

And big breakfast sandwiches!

Thanks Malcolm! Grin

I'm having the aforementioned sandwich today. Just downloaded a nightlight app on to DD's tablet.

SassynSane · 20/03/2017 10:27

Good morning lovely ladies Smile Thanks for the new thread Malcolm - might add a final post to the old one to say a last goodnight to Zombie in a bit.

Your square for BathsLad sounds wonderful. Pic didn't come up on phone so will look properly on laptop later.

Bath my DD has a bit of a fear of the dark, one of those stages and hall light left on until I go to bed too. Just toast this end and eaten v hurriedly as overslept and didn't get up until 8.15am! Shock But got DD to school on time (with a bot of Formula One driving!).

Wet and windy here. Gotta head out to do a food shop in a bit and general domestic stuff...hope everyone has a fab Monday x

SassynSane · 20/03/2017 13:54

Awww....just seen your square Malcolm it's lovely and the fact it's going to BathsLad - entirely appropriate and completely perfect! Star x

SassynSane · 20/03/2017 17:43

Bath am currently channelling you - having a café supper - DD eating sausage bap & chips with choc milkshake. I've just had avocado & poached eggs on toast with a smoothie. Yum AND no washing up. Bliss 😊

BathshebaDarkstone · 20/03/2017 23:28

Malcolm you're determined to make me cry, aren't you? That square's lovely, I'll get DM to send me a photo when it arrives, I hope your square's in it. Smile

Sassy DD's bloody tablet isn't charging properly so we couldn't do the nightlight, we'll do it tomorrow. Hmm

Went to school early because DS2 had told a girl in his class he was going to "cut her willy" Shock, spoke to deputy head, picked DD up, went to park, picked DS2 up, went back to park, went to parents' conference at 5, went to Sainsbury's café for supper, back home, the DC were in bed by 9.35, did a wash, cba to make DD's snack tonight, will do it in the morning, in bed now. Grin

SassynSane · 21/03/2017 01:50

Hope all sorted with DS2 re school Bath? Loved your final goodbye to Zombie Smile Late night for you? I am in bed but can't sleep...gaaaah! Sad

BathshebaDarkstone · 21/03/2017 05:00

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching Hard Talk. GrinBrew

Sassy the deputy head is going to ring CAMHS, something's obviously going on in DS2's head, she's going to push for another assessment. Smile

Thanks re the goodbye: I keep using that quote, being a Star Wars fan, I read it in a Yoda voice in my head, before I'd got to the "Sounds very Yoda" part! She was so funny!

Yes, a very late night, I owed DD a toy because I couldn't get her Pokémon cards, we were too late for pudding in the café as it was shutting, so we had to buy Phish Food ice cream and then they had to eat it at home, so it was very late. They were already very tired, fuck knows what they'll be like this morning. Hmm

I just couldn't sleep, partly because I was in bed late, and partly because my eyes were stinging from crying, first at the deputy head, then at the girl's mum. I feel so embarrassed at DS2's behaviour. Sad When people are nice I cry more. Sad

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 21/03/2017 07:05

Oh Bath, I really feel for you. I wish there was something I could do. I'm glad that there's a referral to CAMHS going through, for your sake, as well as DS2's. I hope it doesn't take too long. Flowers for you.

Sassy, it's so annoying when you're tired but can't sleep, isn't it? Happened to me the other night too. Hope you got to sleep eventually and aren't too tired this morning.

I've got a day at home today, as my car is in the garage for its service and MOT. Quite like the enforced rest! Grin

OP posts:
BathshebaDarkstone · 21/03/2017 07:46

Thanks Malcolm. He's already had one assessment from them, the deputy head isn't satisfied with it.

SassynSane · 21/03/2017 08:05

Oh Bath, you really don't need this with everything else lovely. Hugs! Hope it gets sorted v soon....feel free to rant / download if you need to Flowers

Shattered today Malcolm. Going to be a long old day (PTA mtg tonight...). Your enforced day in sounds lovely! My one saving grace is that I have a neck, back & shoulder massage booked in today (Christmas present from a friend), so hoping that will relax me and I will sleep better tonight!

SassynSane · 21/03/2017 08:22

Aww Malcolm your goodnight to Zombie made my bottom lip go. Ditto, been on MN for years and NC but rarely posted before and now on too much every day & also made some lovely virtual friends, yourself and Bath very much included in that! Cheers Gin

BathshebaDarkstone · 21/03/2017 10:41

Thanks Sassy Smile

I'm actually generally quite happy today, I've been selected on here for a product test and a film preview, and BathsLad's getting a Candy's Hug, thanks to Malcolm! Reasons To Be Cheerful: 1, 2, 3! Grin

I had a big breakfast today. Grin

SassynSane · 21/03/2017 11:23

Yay! Glad to hear that Bath...ooh wait, what, you can get to go to film premières? Exciting!

My back massage just got cancelled as therapist ill...bugger...was looking forward to that...ah well Brew time!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 21/03/2017 22:40

Bath, that sounds really exciting! Good for you, I'm really pleased you've got something to look forward to. I hope things were calmer with DS2 today.

Sassy - nooooooooooo! That's so rubbish, just when you really needed some relaxation as well. I hope they were suitably apologetic!

Quiet day here, car had been dropped back by the garage whilst I was collecting DD2 from school. Why does it always bloody rain right at 3 o'clock?!!! Got the pushchair out, turned it into a double from a single (won't fit through my front door as a double!), got DD3 down from her nap, strapped her in and the heavens opened! Then spent the next five minutes fannying around with the bloody raincovers whilst DD3 tried her best to kick them off, finally got them on, went back in to get DS2 from his nap, came back out and the rain had stopped! 😡 It was flipping sunny by the time I got down to school!!! But by then the raincovers were still wet so then they had to stay on while we walked down to the post office in blazing sunshine - I can't fold them back or they fall off, it's a really bad design. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Oh and my car cost me LOADS (again) as it had to have the cambelt replaced as it's just ticked over 100,000 miles 😩, plus a service, plus an MOT, plus two rear tyres, brake pads and discs! I tell you, it should be bloody well plated in gold for what I paid!!! 🚗 🤑💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷

Hi Malcolm & Bath (& anyone else). Hope you've both had good days? Saw you filled up our old thread Malcolm, nice to get it to 1000 posts Smile

Day seemed long here. Partly through lack of sleep last night though as shattered. Back to work tomorrow and v busy day so equally long day. Need a lie-in. Scheduling one for Sunday! Anyway hope you both sleep well and hopefully catch you tomorrow Smile

SassynSane · 21/03/2017 22:45

X post Malcolm Smile Your day sounds busy and expensive!

Yeah rebooked to next week. Can't be helped but was gutted as really needed it. Just walked in from PTA mtg...glutton for punishment! Shock

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/03/2017 02:18

DH just woke me: "DS2 wants you to change his Dry Nites." Even DS2 said, "You should teach Daddy how to do it." FFS. I'm awake now. HmmAngryGin

Sassy keep an eye out in Active Threads, I think you might be too late for the Smurfs, but there will be others. They tend to be in London too. Hmm

DS2 was good today, and hopefully he caught up on some sleep tonight. Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/03/2017 02:23

I've just looked, the movie's in Sponsored Events Sassy Smile

SassynSane · 22/03/2017 06:57

Thanks Bath Smile Can't believe your DH woke you...he def needs to "learn" not to wake you up in future! Grin Hope you managed to fall asleep ok again?

V busy at work today but thankfully I slept ok last night so def with it a bit more this morn, though Brew will my friend today.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 22/03/2017 07:48

Morning!

I agree with Sassy, Bath, your DH definitely needs to learn how to change those ASAP! Especially as it takes you so long to get back to sleep. Did you manage to get back to sleep this morning or was that you up for the day? Your poor thing, in any case!

Glad you slept better, Sassy, and I hope today goes well and you aren't too shattered at the end of it!

DH is off poorly today. Currently asleep in bed. He's one of those who has to be at death's door before he takes a day off work, so he must be feeling really bad. Still, it does irritate me that I have to keep going and look after the children unless I happen to be ill at the weekend! Not his fault, just one of those things, but still...!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 22/03/2017 09:33

Aaaaaaannnnd DD2 is off school too. She was complaining about a tummy ache last night, this morning she was in tears with it. Apparently there's something going round that starts off with a stomach ache and ends in vomiting. Nice! 😩

Morning! I've just had a cheese and mushroom omelette.

Yes I fell back to sleep sometime after that post, to wake up at 4.05. HmmBrewBrewBrew

DS2 can change himself if it's a wee, it was a poo and he'd started in his Dry Nites. Hmm

SassynSane · 22/03/2017 14:39

Hello lovely ladies. Finally taking a lunch break...at my desk Confused so catching up...

Mental day (University visit day so lots of Alevel students and their parents) and first time I have stopped! Feel like headless chicken!

Hmmm, do you think DH and DD2 have the same thing Malcolm? Sounds like you may have your work cut out this week. Hope you don't get it! Have you heard how DD1 is getting on in France?

Hope you're hanging in there Bath and your coffee is very strong!

SassynSane · 22/03/2017 15:20

Bath - you ok? Just heard about terrorist attacks in central London!
