I got drunk at a wedding, I feel so ashamed of myself. Feel awful friends are saying don't worry about it. I didn't do anything wrong but feel so upset with myself.

I'm sure you weren't the only one most weddings are pretty booze! Just put it behind you. If you don't make it into a big deal others won't either.

I bet at least 50% of the people there were drunk. Most of us have been there so don't worry.

I don't think I've been to a wedding and NOT got drunk, unless pregnant/feeding. Grin

I got drunk at my own wedding! Still walking and talking but certainly NOT sober. I think most weddings are best after a few!

Why are you ashamed of getting drunk at a wedding? Are you very religious or something?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 08/08/2016 18:54

Unless you got naked and danced on the tables, fell in the wedding cake, propositioned the best man, sloshed red wine down the back of the bride's dress or sobbed for two hours on a stranger's shoulder about the state of your life, I think you're fine. Grin

I don't think I've ever been sober at a wedding! What did you do?

Report
chocoholic89 · 09/08/2016 04:51

No I didn't do anything wrong. I just feel embarrassed about it but yeah I suppose there was everyone else drinking too. I don't know just my conscience.

I got pissed at my brother's wedding and told his MIL that her daughter was a stroppy bitch (she was!) who was only after my Dad's money because he bought them a massive house and furnished it for them. 2 years later she left and attempted to get a 6 figure settlement despite the house being in DBs name and not having a job! So technically I was right, but oh what a stooshie it caused at the time!!! (Incidentally she got £7000 from my dad which I think is more than generous!)
