7.45am already! Where does the time go in the mornings?

Hi, I am always in a rush first thing and I hate it. I want a complete overhaul of my daily routines (ha ha, what bloody routine) and I am hoping you gorgeous MNers will give me advice. I just don't know how to fit everything in housework, children, voluntary work etc. I am often late and hate it. How do I get more organised? Tips please!

How does your morning routine look at the moment?

I do as much as I can to prepare the night before but, essentially, it works by the simple (but possibly not a welcome) expedient of getting up before everyone else and being ready myself before I start chivvying.
