Totally freaked out!

Just sitting in the garden having a coffee when a huge bloody war type helicopter flew over. The noise was bloody appalling, that and the sight of the machine scared the life out of me. Got me thinking about all the people who moan about the Syrian refugees and how fucking scary their totally normal lives changed so quickly.

They were normal like us, had jobs, families, lived in a developed country and puff, their lives changed to bombs, gun fire and huge noisy helicopters being an everyday occurrence.

Made me think that I'd be walking hundreds of miles and paying to risk my life for a semblance of normality and safety to get away from it.

Sorry, stupid thread, rambling but took my breath away for a moment and made me shiver at how easily things can change.
