Bedtime

What time do you go to bed? I work full time, am self employed and hours vary with most days finishing at 5pm and 1 day finishing at 9pm. I feel like I'm being a bad partner wanting to go to bed so early (I'm usually well ready by 10pm), but try and wait up for the other half who favours 11:00pm onwards.. I'm then so tired by that point that 'special cuddles' are well out of the question and it's that - thinking about it - that I feel most bad about.

Can you compromise?
On your later shifts stay up the later times to suit him (presuming you start later) and he comes to bed at your time at least once a week?
My DH always comes to bed with me, cuddles sometimes, but then he'll sit in bed with his earphones in and iPad on if I'm going to sleep and he's not tired.

My partner and I are completely incompatible with regard to bedtime. I sleep badly but want to be in bed as long as possible to make up for it so I go to bed about 10. He sleeps like a log so only needs about 6 hours meaning he goes to bed about 12. We just roll with it during the week but try to bring things together at the weekend. He often gets up with dd on the weekend to give me a little longer.
