Hi
Would like to have your view on a new marketing strategy dreamed up by Post Office and WHSmiths. At Camden High St Post Office in Camden, London. The PO and WHS are doing a trial run in 4 PO's where they are displaying and selling at the main counter sweets to customers. I as a mother am horrified that young children are going to be subjected to this display as their parents wait in 10-20 min queue's to pay bills.

I'm horrified that some other parents seem to feel that displaying a perfectly legal product on a shop shelf is "subjecting" their children to it.

I can't quite see what your problem is.

Is it that some parents have a problem with saying "no" nowadays?

Um... them and pretty much every other shop.

You'll get hardened to saying "no" very quickly. Grin Actually some shops and certain of my dc I often say "no" before I've even entered.

As the other said, children need to hear no often.

It will be a success because people can't say no, to themselves, or their children, but TBH we need our post offices to be successful or we'll lose them.
