The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Let the chat commence!

magimedi Fri 10-Oct-14 11:51:26

Hooray - I've found you!

BB & I were wondering where you'd got to.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered Fri 10-Oct-14 12:28:51

Phew! That was weird.

Glad you're feeling better and sleeping well Zomb.

I'm sure I've heard that threads still exist somewhere even when they're gone. Might be worth asking if they could put it somewhere for you.

wine apparently!

mummylin2495 Fri 10-Oct-14 14:17:11

Glad we are back ! I was quite horrified when I found you gone ! Glad you slept well and hope you are picking up again now. It's a nuisance when the threads go after 90 days, especially when they aren't full and there is no warning they are due to go, it maybe a good idea if MNHQ could put a little warning that the thread is going in 24 hours or something.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered Fri 10-Oct-14 22:54:30

Sorry mummylin I meant to PM you but got distracted blush

Who else should we give a heads up?

I'll go and ping Zing grin

IamtheZombie Fri 10-Oct-14 22:57:06

Yes, Zing for sure.

Why don't one of you start a shout out thread in Chat directing here? That may even bring in a few new folk.

IamtheZombie Fri 10-Oct-14 23:17:27

'Tis the end of the world...

mummylin2495 Fri 10-Oct-14 23:57:00

Oh that's a terrible waste Zombie. It is indeed the end of the world grin I will put a thread in chat for you.

mummylin2495 Sat 11-Oct-14 00:15:13

I'm off to bed now. See you all when if MN comes back online tomorrow afternoon. xx

cavkc Sat 11-Oct-14 02:14:12

Hope you not mind my crashing but just came across this thread (haven't seen the previous one).

My BF has secondary cancer and it ain't going well .. She is 43, has an 8 year old and a husband who is not supportive in the slightest (he went on his own to a family party less than 24 hours after she was told the cancer had retuned after ten years, leaving her home alone!)

I'm also a BIG g&t girl

BeachyKeen Sat 11-Oct-14 15:12:40

Zombie, I hope you slept well. flowers

GarlicOctopus Sat 11-Oct-14 15:25:07

Ah, here you are smile

IamtheZombie Sat 11-Oct-14 15:31:47

Hi, cavkc and welcome. There are loads of previous threads if you're interested. Most of them are here in Other Subjects.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she has plenty of friends like you around to support her. Pity about the useless husband but I understand that as well. Mine left me for another woman while I was undergoing treatment for my previous Breast Cancer. Even though my more recent Breast Cancer is Stage 4 with liver mets, it's been a lot easier to deal with without him around.

IamtheZombie Sat 11-Oct-14 15:33:57

Oh! Hello Beachy and Garlic!

I had a pretty good night's sleep and a nice nap (while MN was offline!).

ExitPursuedByABear Sat 11-Oct-14 15:34:15

I didn't see your other thread. <sulks>

Glad I have caught up with you again.

Don't bother with that Zing. She is always on Hay Day.

cavkc Sat 11-Oct-14 16:35:54

Not sure what stage she is but my bf now has tumours in her spine, lymph nodes, throat, both breasts, liver and pelvis.

Her useless husband rang me in a rage one evening because she doesn't want to go skiing at Christmas! His exact word were 'I wish the stupid c**t would f***ing die tomorrow, she's ruining things for everyone" how the hell do you respond to that??

On a a day to day basis she's really not coping, drinking in excess of a bottle of wine every evening.

So difficult to know what to do to help

LangenFlugelHappleHoff Sat 11-Oct-14 17:37:58

Hi zombie <waves>

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered Sat 11-Oct-14 18:14:07

Glad to hear you're getting lots of sleep Z flowers

I love that Zing Exit and she does have a few seven distractions smile

Very sorry for your friend cavkc I would guess just listening is the best help you can give. And pick up on hints she drops that would make things easier for her.

I would say with all those health issues and a ghastly husband, a bottle of wine a night is the least of her problems.

cin cin! wine all round grin

NormaStanleyFletcher Sat 11-Oct-14 18:49:56

Good to see you zombie.

:: raises glass in salute ::

mummylin2495 Sat 11-Oct-14 19:18:58

Hello fletch hope you are doing ok.
Well Zombie it's nice to see you now have lots of others to chat too ! I will bump the other thread now and then so others can see it. Hope you have had a good day today and that all your side effects have passed now. Enjoy your evening and do be careful not to waste any wine !

Ginfox Sat 11-Oct-14 19:22:48

Just checking in Zombie. Just looked in here on the off-chance, glad I found you and all the Zombettes.

YonicScrewdriver Sat 11-Oct-14 19:28:58
