He's 25. He lives with my dad. He has had digestive problems that have not yet been diagnosed.

Dad called to tell me, and the ambulance is there. I am now waiting for a call back to find out what is going on. They are a 3 hour drive away.

Hold my. Hand?

I asked the paramedics to take him to a different hospital when he was admitted, because I have so little trust in them (my mum was in that hospital last year, treated awfully and then died within days of being discharged, then my uncle was in there and it turned out the psychiatrist who apparently assessed him had never met him, I could go on).

Ah well gp this morning I hope.

Is there another hospital you could go to? They sound terrible, your poor son. Good luck at the gp's tomorrow.

have stayed at dad's. Going to see gp with him tomorrow.

Sounds worrying for you, hope you get into the GPs tomorrow.

He did have a raised heart rate while he was in. They kept him in resus for quite a while. No reason given for that either.

I don't understand how you get discharged that soon after being in resuss.

He was discharged shortly before we got there. I went back in and asked to speak to a doctor. He was quite dazed and confused (and tired). They have no idea what caused it. No blood infection (that was information from the dazed and confused one), so white blood cell normal, Us and Es normal, no illicit substances taken.

No reason found. No advice given. Just go home.

I stayed in his room and checked him every 2 hours overnight.

Now told to go to gp, and then Neuro team.

Sorry, have no idea.
How was he when you got there?

YoniMatopoeia Sat 11-Jan-14 21:16:16

Wtf does blood infection mean?

YoniMatopoeia Sat 11-Jan-14 21:15:36

His diagnosis is "blood infection and raised heart rate" according to his latest text. He was waiting for chest xray. He thought he may come home tonight, but apparently that is now less likely as his heart rate has raised again.

I am on the M40 on my way to derbyshire

It was a seizure. Have spoken to him on the phone. He is in resus in case it happens again. He says he is feeling better, bit admits he is dazed and confused.

Allice Sat 11-Jan-14 18:42:53

How worrying, really hope that he is ok, are you able to go to him?

My husband has a few fits about 5 years ago, he was really stressed at the time and he has really low blood pressure.

He had lots of test and lost his licence for a year but nothing was found and he's in good health now.

NoelOfLorst Sat 11-Jan-14 17:42:56

Good news, hope he's ok

YoniMatopoeia Sat 11-Jan-14 17:42:15

Just had a text. Feeling better, waiting for them to run tests.

SauvignonBlanche Sat 11-Jan-14 17:37:42

Is there anything stopping you from being able to go?

YoniMatopoeia Sat 11-Jan-14 17:36:06

Going to ring now. Thank you beertricks

I don't think it was a fit, as my dad first said. I think he just collapsed.

YoniMatopoeia Sat 11-Jan-14 17:27:50

He has his mobile on him. Have sent text, no response. My dad has not gone with him. He is all on his own sad

Might ring hospital?

Sending good vibes and hoping all is well.

Could you get there, might be better than worrying from a distance?
