Would happily meet up in the evening or lunch at the weekends so partner could have kids - have to bring the baby though as i wear him like a badge!
Leicester or Nottingham would suit me best.

I'm here - halfway between Nottingham and Derby, close to M1 J25 so easy for me to get to most places if we had a meet up.

had a thought on another thread that ikea (j26) would be a good place to meet. it is quite during the week, accessable, children friendly and great for lunch.

Sounds good

sorry that should have obviously read 'quiet'

OK how many midlander netters fancy a lunchtime meeting with kids at ikea, junc 26 M1? Thurs or Fridays are best for me. Lets say betweeen 10.30 - 2.00pm?

SueW · 28/01/2002 12:42

Er, I don't have kids during the week - he's at school!

I'll pop along for a coffee though. I start work at 2pm, so would have to leave around 1.15 but other than that, I'm ok for that time/those days too.

SueW · 28/01/2002 12:43

Doh - that should read 'she's' at school. Except she's not at the mo - got the high temp/cold thing that's doing the rounds.

I'm 1 1/2 hours from Ikea ( I don't know how I cope!) so it would be a whole day thing for me. Possible though. Although an evening thing sounds appealing, I don't fancy a long journey back on terrible Lincolnshire roads late at night.

I live in West Bridgford near Nottingham. Would love to meet up but at the moment I'm STILL working full time, plan to finish in April though. Meeting in a play park would be a little easier for those of us not so brave? How about organising a day trip by train to the seaside in the summer? My dd will be 3 in June (where did that go?).

Would love to meet up somewhere/somehow. Starting work next week so Ikea would have been ideal up till now!

I used to live near you in Nottingham, spring, but have moved to the middle of Lincolnshire. Ikea would have been brilliant for me 18 months ago. However I am fairly near the seaside if you decide to go east from Nottingham rather than west. But...by the summer, I may have moved again so probably best not to count me in.

Hi, only just found this thread. I live in Droitwich Spa, 7 miles from Worcester. I would also love to meet up. Best days for me are Monday and Tuesday (with 3 year old) or evenings/weekends, without. I work weds, thurs, Fridays and have to pick 7 year old up from school other days.
Ikea is one of my favourite places, esp. as I have an Ikea card, yippeeee.
I hope we can arrange something.
