....if you've ever felt so miserable you wanted to disappear then read this

I'll never moan about my life in ladbroke grove again

Jesus.

Maybe I'll run off to my Colorado house today..................

Silly bitch. Bet she's got nannies, cleaner, housekeeper etc etc. Wouldn't know the meaning of humdrum life.

Try living in a tiny house with less than £300 a week, no help and elderly relatives to look after.

Women like her make me puke.

FrannySmith Sat 20-May-06 08:46:47

Silly woman. Her other book was no great shakes, either.

"The streets of Ladbroke Grove are a narrow place from which to view the world."

yes, that made me lol.

not made any better by the wouldn't it be fun to pretend to join up with mexicans crossing the border

CarolinaMoose Sat 20-May-06 08:51:48

how fortunate that she got a new novel out of it too.

ssd Sat 20-May-06 09:09:32

had to laugh at the bit when she said her husband told her to stay away for as long as she liked. Think he shows good judgement.

cupcakes Sat 20-May-06 09:15:26

yes, zippi - what a fun jaunt.

cupcakes Sat 20-May-06 09:16:08

I mean, at her, not you!!

zippitippitoes Sat 20-May-06 09:18:17

she obviously hasn't thought that there are very real issues involved. I thought the pretend running away was bad enough until I got to the pretend mexican escapade

expatinscotland Sat 20-May-06 09:51:12

'Did she consider going for ever? No.'

That's the real shame.

I lived in a cabin in Colorado once. To get away from vapid, dull gits like her.

They never lasted long out there, anyway. Too much work.

vitomum Sat 20-May-06 10:22:17

stupid cow. oh well must het back to that 'living death' i call my life.

rabbitrabbit Sat 20-May-06 10:23:58

re DH "he was incredibly generous and told me to go for good"
Bet he did - probably sick to f**king death of her whinging.

still, she's lucky to have him. i'd have applied for divorce on grounds of abandonment whilst she was away.

imagine being stupid, selfish AND ugly all at once.

MissChief Sat 20-May-06 10:41:06

what wonderful free publicity for her!
wonder if she suffers from hayfever?

zippitippitoes Sat 20-May-06 10:42:27

this quote from an interview with her

<<At the moment I’m working on a new book which is tentatively a comedy about people smuggling set on the Mexican Border. Ho Hum……………..>>

and a quote from one of her books

<<'if you think about it, a crime of passion must be a luxury for a lonely person'>>

interview here

dOng Sat 20-May-06 10:49:38

Actually, I understand exactly where she is coming from. Unlike her I took all four children and I never went back.

MissChief Sat 20-May-06 10:52:30

she was hardly slumming it or taking a huge risk though, was she? Is it really an "escape" to go to a family home overseas? I'd say rather it was a comfortable, safe temporary retreat - and v handy for gathering material for her new book!

zippitippitoes Sat 20-May-06 10:53:53

I think it's called a holiday

expatinscotland Sat 20-May-06 15:03:33

b/c human trafficing is such a funny subject . . . [rolls eyes]

SoupDragon Sat 20-May-06 15:09:01

Why do you assume having money = happiness?
