i had one of those Downy balls for it. You can also programme it to shut off before the final rinse to add it in.

You're not allowed to hang your washing in your own garden or in the hotel grounds?

You have to figure out when the final rinse cycle is and do it then (the machine shouldn't lock like the front loading ones), or else just buy detergent with softener already added.
If you're using the dryer, a lot of people buy anti-static softener sheets (one brand is Bounce) which achieve much the same thing.
Hope you're enjoying your new home!

I'm impressed, you've been there five minutes and you've got a wash on. Girl after me own heart!

No washing outside indeed!
Lowering the tone depends on how white your whites are,how clear your brights are,not leaving it out overnight and having a stylish pegbag.Everyone knows that.No need for a blanket ban for the sake of a slatternly few.
Thank goodness you are there to show them what's what Cal!!!
