I'm pretty new to this and chose my user name before I realised everyone had such interesting names on here. I was just wondering if people would like to share the story behind their name......

I had to find a name to replace my own one and this one just came to me based on Keep Calm and Carry On which seems to be everywhere at the moment!

This is a 'new' name for me on here. Based on my first name on here. It's a spoonerism, and tbh it's a bit true, in as much as I am outspoken about things I believe in.

I used to know someone who was in a band called Stop Calling Me Frank. Something happened to bring it to mind recently and the name made me laugh.

I recently namechanged, because DD1 (13) joined in a thread I was on. I was a bit uncomfortable about that, as I might ask for advice, or mention personal things on here, so I would rather be anonymous to my family on here.

This name is the title of a poem by Michael Luenig, and obviously an allusion to the poem by Keats.

It's an old Easter namechange from last year, I liked it enough to keep though I'm getting bored with it now, it doesn't lend itself to alterations very much so maybe I will have a think for Halloween..

Mine - Little Tin Goddess - is a line from the Metallica song "The Memory Remains" as I like the song. I thought of "Faded Prima Donna" but... Maybe for a name change one day...

RustyBear · 30/09/2012 22:05

This is the original RustyBear made for me by my mum to take in my pocket on my first day of school. He was originally a deep rusty-red colour but has faded from being washed in my pocket so often. The patches cover the holes he got when attacked by moths. He's now over 50 years old and living in retirement on the shelf by my bed.
