Bargain of the day!!!

Just been to waitrose, spent £26.00 all red labels, would have cost me £74.00 if I had paid full price. Got fresh crab for £1.99 for 4 dressed crabs. large pack of smoked salmon for £1.99 was £7.99! a £8.00 pack of sushi for 99p. 4 sponge puddings for 10p each and tons of other stuff.
What has been your bargain this week???

The food you bought is probably on the turn if it's been reduced that much. Personally, I wouldn't eat it. I don't consider being sick much of a bargain.

They wouldn't sell it if it's off, it's likely to be at its sell by date. It doesn't mean it's going to make you ill. Freeze what you can though, I wouldn't leave the fish for too long without eating/throwing.

oh don't be silly yummyhoney, that's why we evolved to have noses. Things that are off are generally unpleasantly smelly and not nice to eat at all. Smoked salmon is preserved anyway and lasts quite a lot (due to salt content) Sponge puddings should be fine (depends on dairy content) If the sushi and crabs smelled ok then they were probably fine.

Well done chicky on getting such a good bargain. I've often eaten things well past their sell by date.

I didn't get this this week, but last week we bought ds a remote controlled cuddly monster type thing for Christmas, it was £125, but reduced to £10 It's brilliant because it interracts with the child's expression and responds to commands too. He's going to love it.
