Weirdest place you've breastfed...

I'm wondering what the weirdest place is to breastfeed. I personally has to do it during my grandad's funeral last week. It was after I'd made a speech and read a poem and my little one just would not stop crying and they were playing his favourite song! (Stardust by Nat King Cole). Luckily I was at the front so only the minister and the organsist would have seen... My grandad would have found it funny and would have totally approved. It's my one comedy moment in a day of sadness.

Have to confess that the traffic was at a standstill though!

HAve you ever done the breastfeeding in the car thing when your baby is in their car seat, and you lean over and dangle a boob in their face....obviously not if you're driving

My one (well not really the weirdest) is in the High Dependancy Unit after dd had her heart surgery at 17months. She had so many wires and tubes in that it was like breasfeeding for the first time - I had to get a nurse to hand her to me, and to help me move her round to feed at the other side

Lullabelle well done. I've been at weddings ruined by crying babies because their mums didn't think it right to feed them in church fgs.

I've fed just about everywhere. On the tube, in Traflagar Square, at the side of a swimming pool, in church, whilst walking along the road to the park, at my desk at work, in shops, cafes, libraries .... any bloody excuse.

Anytime I needed to. On a bus, in the cinema, burger king, at a wedding, sitting at the ringside at Hickstead.

I once saw a woman sitting on a bouncy castle. She was entertaining her toddler and breastfeeding her baby at the same time. Milk shake anyone?!

Waiting for a tube on a platform

In a cliffside county park whilst it was blowing a gale.

In a tv news graphics gallery. (not whilst programme was on air luckily!)

I've also bfed at a funeral - my FIL's. He was Jewish and the genders were segregated with the women at the back of the room.

Also during a carol service in Ely Cathedral.

When dd2 was tiny I bfed her while walking in the local park and walking about in the shopping centre (wearing a sling and a breastfeeding top which covered everything).

Last month we went on holiday to Gran Canaria and went to a water park. They had a ride where you sit on a big inner tube and slowly drift round a circuit, and I had dd2 on my lap. Halfway round she got hungry, so I gave her a feed.

during my husband's graduation ceremony

lots of times in church, used to feed ds to sleep during the evenign service for months and months

weirdest for me was in school staffroom when I visited during my mat leave because I teach with a lot of older men and didn't know what they'd all think...

I b/f throughout a funeral too. It was the father of one of dd's classmates and I knew that he and his wife would encourage it (they had a baby of the same age.) Better to do that discretely near the back than inflict a baby's crying on everyone at that time.

Playing golf...

actually some stuffy old lady did ask if i could feed in some room to be out of view.

rude cow!

i felt like flashing her one

Also on holiday to cornwall, we had no time to stop for a feed so for babies safety, instead of taking her out of the carseat, i got my boob out and leaned over her carseat and she had a realxing feed whilst i got a painful back and neck.

I breast fed loads of places - but how about expressing on a ski slope and in a crowded mountain cafe? (one of the days the weather was too bad to do it outside)
