Er, just looked at your username and think you may not be in the UK!

My best advice is not to read any! You can be shown essentials such as dressing and nappy changing in hospital. Threads on MN are a good idea for a range of opinions.

Generally books are written by one author, with one opinion. You'll make your own and learn from your own baby - plus your baby won't have read the manual anyway wink

Are you in the UK? You get a birth to 5 book from your HV which gives you an NHS point of view once your baby is born.

First baby and do not feel ready or prepared and he is due in about 3 months....any ideas on the best book to buy for a first timer? Just feel a little unprepared....

Thanks. Any suggestions would be great smile
