so the last few days we've had super projectile posseting, fussing and crying on the bottle, hand-gnawing (thank fuck he doesn't get his food from the tap) and dribbling. had a poke around in his mouth today, there is definite sharpness to the top and two white nubs on the bottom. he's super grizzly during the day, constantly waking through the night, and barely finishes a bottle. he's 8 week's on tues so I've given him some baby bonjela a couple of days early, but what else can I do??

Um oh gosh I don't know, is he too young for calpol? I'd speak to your HV & see what she recommends. Good luck though! A cold, wet flannel rubbed over the gums can help too as can drinks of cool (not cold) water

Give him something cold to chew! My dd and ds started early and enjoyed ice cubes, pealed carrots straight out the fridge, celery stick and simply a muslin on a fist.

I think you can use Anbesol and have you checked the age on teething powders?

he's one month shy of calpol age Sad and we've got some granules but they contain lactose, he's currently taking colief for colic so no lactose allowed Sad

Cal pol is 2mths plus so at 8 weeks is fine!

Try a bit of teething gel on a dummy if you use one.

My dd is 10 wo and has started to teethe too. All the tethers are for babies that can hold things!! :(
