posted last week about having my dd accepted in a really good nursery within a school thats not really in my catchment area..was really pleased and am going for look around friday(although shes only 2 in 4 weeks so not starting yet)
then this morning i got a call from my first choice of school, very close to were we used to live, and they have also said they shouldnt be any problem and asked me to go in friday so fill in form and go look around so she" knows where shes going"..in her words????

i really thought i was going to struggle getting her into a half decent school, but these are the best i can find within 10 miles and shes 'in' both!!and both said transfering to the school should be no problem either!!!!
very pleased but very unexpected

or is it just easy to get into 'the nursery' part, but harder to get into the school?

You could check with both schools if attending the nursery attached to their school will help with admissions to the school. Different schools operate different policies. One nursery we looked at was attached to a faith school and they were very clear that attending the nursery was of no benefit in applying for the school afterwards.
