Nurseries

NormaStanleyFletcher is the Jinxed with Nurseries - do not let her child come to yours

When I returned to work my childminder announced 3 weeks before I was due to start back that her partner had left her so she couldn't take DD

I found a nursery, but one where I knew the staff were nice but I didn't like the owner.

I changed to another nicer nursery that then phoned and told me that they were closing 1 week before she was due to start.

I found an alternative place for her (this was september)

They have given us a letter today saying that their new building is not ready and though the developer said they could stay in current building ultil it was, they are now told that they have to leave on 31 July

I have no childcare after that date

fuck

The nice one that closed might have reopened having been bought by a parent. I am going to call them on Monday

Perhaps your just not meant to be back at work

Your stress levels must have rocketed, perhaps the next one will be the best yet.....

I really feel sorry for DD though.

Changing nursuries again!!

I am sure she will cope as she is such a confident pigheaded independent sort. But just about 2 is an interesting age....

Well at least dd hasn't been to all of them on short stays and you've had notice before dd started. Will keep fingers crossed that you find something, it will be better, things like this work out bette sometimes.

Fletch - have you thought of using MN local to find something?
