(4 Posts)I'd love a day to do other things! I think he would enjoy it, and if he didn't we could rethink I suppose. Maybe I'll try a couple of mornings.
What are your nurseries like since Covid?
I think it depends on the child....my DD has been in 1 full day a week since 15months and has been absolutely fine with settling in and loves seeing her friends! We are upping her to two days from jan as baby 2 is due. I also like having a full day off to myself if I swap my work days!
If you can be flexible, I'd start with two mornings. Our nursery says minimum two sessions on two different days, so we do two mornings. It's for the exact reason you say - 1 day isn't really enough to settle. Also at 15 months, mine were/are still good nappers and I like them home to nap after lunch. I feel a full day at that age is too much, when putting them in nursery through choice not necessity.
Thinking of sending 15mo DS to nursery for a day or a couple of mornings a week. I've taken an extra 6 months off after maternity but I think he would really benefit from being with other children and doing different activities. He is a very busy, active boy and I feel he is missing out a bit what with all the baby groups and activities closed. He is due to go to nursery 3 - 4 days a week from December.
One day a week feels too disruptive, like he wouldn't settle but maybe 2 mornings would work? Does anyone have any experiences?
