Advice for dd leaving nursery, and thankyou presents for staff??

Hi, My dd, 16months, attends nursery 2 full days a week and has done for almost 6 months. She will be leaving in a week (and I am leaving my job) for the main reason that she cannot nap there (apparently she is the ONLY child that does not, the staff have tried) and is an absolute monster in the evenings as she is so over-tired she is awake and screaming for hours.
Anyway. She does seem to enjoy her time at nursery and I'm just wondering if she will miss it, and the staff who she may have become attached to, now that she will be spending all her time with me. Is there anything I can do to lessen this? I feel bad for sending her to nursery in the first place, as in hindsight I can see that she didn't settle for a long time. Now I feel bad for taking her away from it!

Also, from those of you that work at nurseries, are there any recommendations as to what I could get the staff as a 'thank you'? All I can think of is a tin of biscuits or box of chocolates, but I'm sure they get loads of those. If you can think of something that would be more appreciated, please let me know!

Ooh, quick response Katybump, thank you! Well, there are LOADS of staff and dd is in both the baby room and the toddler room, AND I don't know all their names so I think I really have to get communal pressies. Would it look bad if I got something for all to share and something individual for her key worker? (Though her key worker doesn't seem to have MUCH more involvement with her than the other staff)

when DS1 left nursery, many years ago , I bought his two "key carers" wine anf flowers and then a big box of chocs to share between the rest of the staff.

that would be great!maybe a little photo of your dc and a personal note in a card for there keyworker.it may seem that they have no more involvement than any other member of staff but trust me,behind the scenes they do

When dd left her last nursery I got her to paint a plate (you can buy them in Tesco) and gave that to them so they had something to rememeber her. I did buy a cake for them and the kids.

Thanks for the suggestions on presents to get, wine, flowers and chocolate it is! I'll definitely do a personalised card and a photo on it, that's a good idea
So...Any advice on whether my dd will notice that she has left the nursery and will she miss going, or will she just be so happy to be at home with me ?

We really struggled with ideas for presents for the nursery staff at christmas as they seemed to be inundated with wine and chocolates. We ended up goign to Lush, buying loads of bits and pieces and putting them in a gift box from Clinton cards. The girls loved it.
