Someone please tell me this gets easier I have my 1 year old in nursery 2 days a week due to work commitments today will be his third day going the second we go in he is crying because he knows I need to leave I feel awful all day long knowing I don't have another option but to take him he is how long did it take people's little ones to adjust to the nursery routine breaks my heart having to leave him crying for me ☹️☹️

It gets easier OP. I agree its really hard when they cry as you leave, but it's very early days for your LO. The staff will be experienced at helping with the settling. Mine started 5 days a week at 1 and loves it (he's 15mo now) but did cry a bit at the start. The more days a week they do, the quicker they settle apparently.

It really does get easier - my dd had to go into nursery for 4 long days at 12months as I went back to work. They really do stop crying within minutes of you leaving I promise - definitely don't linger at drop off it makes it 100 times worse as they pick up on your emotions. (Cry in the car park if you need to!) In all honestly it took several months for me to not feel constantly awful/liked I'd lost an arm/moments of blinding panic of 'remembering' DD wasn't with me!

It gets much easier and, better still, when they settle in it's lovely seeing them make new friends and have new experiences. Nursery is so good for their development.

I felt exactly like you when I went back to work but now my DD often has to be dragged out because she wants to stay and play Blush
